Everything You Need to Know About DNA

A few of the questions we’re asked most often.

What is DNA?

DNA stands for Daily Nutrient Alchemy. It is a premium daily nutrition blend created to make better nutrition simpler. DNA brings a considered combination of nutritional ingredients together in one easy daily serve.

Why was DNA created?

DNA grew out of a real morning routine. For years, my mornings started with a collection of different nutritional products lined up on the bench. I measured them individually, combined them and added them to my morning smoothie. DNA was created to simplify that process into one considered blend, one scoop and one straightforward daily habit.

How do I take DNA?

Take one 20 g scoop each day. Add it to water or coconut water and shake, or blend it into your morning smoothie. Keep it simple and make it work with your morning.

How much is one serve and how long does a container last?

One daily serve is 20 g. Each 600 g container contains 30 serves, giving you 30 days of DNA when taken once daily.

Do I need to make a smoothie?

No. Add one scoop of DNA to water or coconut water, shake and drink. If smoothies are already part of your routine, simply blend DNA with your usual ingredients.

When should I take DNA?

DNA was created as a morning habit and that’s how we like to use it. One scoop at the beginning of the day is a simple way to start your day in credit.

What ingredients are in DNA?

DNA contains marine collagen, hemp protein, barley grass powder, blackcurrant powder, broccoli sprouted powder, spearmint powder and Acerola cherry powder. Each ingredient has been deliberately selected as part of the overall blend.

What is Acerola cherry powder?

Acerola is a small fruit naturally rich in vitamin C. Acerola cherry powder forms part of the DNA blend and contributes to its naturally occurring vitamin C.

Does DNA contain protein, fibre and vitamin C?

Yes. DNA has been formulated to provide protein and naturally occurring fibre and vitamin C. The full Nutrition Information Panel is available on the product page so you can see exactly what you are getting in every serve.

Does DNA contain added sugar?

DNA has been formulated with no added sugar. Any sugars shown on the Nutrition Information Panel are those naturally present within the ingredients.

Does DNA contain fish, and is it vegetarian or vegan?

DNA contains marine collagen derived from fish, so it contains fish as an allergen and is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans. Please refer to the full ingredient and allergen information before use.

Can I take DNA if I’m pregnant, taking medication, have a medical condition, or want to give it to my child?

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition, or take prescription or other regular medication, we recommend checking with your doctor before adding DNA to your routine. Show them the DNA ingredient list and Nutrition Information Panel so they can advise you based on your individual circumstances and any potential interactions.

For children, we suggest DNA only be considered from around 10 years of age. As children have different nutritional requirements, we recommend parents or caregivers show their doctor the DNA ingredients and nutritional information and check that it is appropriate for their child before use.

Where is DNA made?

DNA is made in New Zealand.

How should I store DNA?

Keep DNA sealed and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Always follow the storage directions on the container.

How much does DNA cost?

DNA is $89.99 for a 600 g container, providing 30 daily serves. That works out at approximately $3 per day.

What does DNA taste like?

DNA has a naturally earthy taste, largely due to its hemp protein, and it isn’t sweetened to taste like a sugary drink. Some people will enjoy it immediately, while others may take a little time to adjust.

If you find the flavour strong, try one of our smoothie recipes. Frozen berries, ginger and coconut water are simple, affordable additions that help soften the earthy flavour. Or simply mix DNA with coconut water and drink it quickly.
